We are seeking a skilled and motivated Frontend Developer with a passion for ecommerce to join our team. As a Frontend Developer, you will play an important role in building intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our online stores and applications. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, takes ownership of their projects, and is excited to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain user-facing features for our ecommerce platforms using Javascript, Typescript, and CSS.
• Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing online stores.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed, performance, and conversion.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use across our ecommerce projects.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs within the context of ecommerce best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and ecommerce innovations.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer.
• Expert knowledge of Javascript, Typescript, and CSS.
• Familiarity with Shopify, Magento, or other relevant ecommerce platforms.
• Understanding of ecommerce-specific frontend challenges, such as product displays, shopping carts, and checkout flows.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility, with a focus on mobile optimization for ecommerce.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

Bonus points:

• Experience with React
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integration in an ecommerce context.
• Experience with Shopify Liquid templating language or other ecommerce-specific frontend tools.
• Experience with headless ecommerce architectures.
• Contributions to open-source ecommerce projects.
